School holiday workshops
During this 2,5 hour workshop children age 7-16 can choose to paint either an Enchanted Forest or a Spooky Forest. This is a wonderful opportunity for children to experiment with different materials to create interesting textures in their art. This workshop for children age 7-16 is held over two days, at Rockingham Art Centre. On day 1, we are going to create multiple paintings by experimenting with different materials to create texture. The next day, when the textures have hardend, we are going to paint them and add more details. In this fun and engaging workshop for children (age 6-11) we are going to explore the Animal Kingdom and immerse ourselves in the world of African Safari. Children will learn to work from a photo reference and practice different techniques to develop a painting they can be proud of! 23 December 10.30 am-12.30 at Bull Creek Community Centre
We will explore botanical and floral elements by experimenting with a variety of watercolour techniques and materials. This workshop is designed for parents who would like to engage in an activitiy together with their child (age 6-12) and is suitable for beginners.
About Nikki
Nikki de Zwart is an emerging artist of Dutch origin who obtained her art qualifications at the North Metro TAFE. She specializes in painting and mixed media, and enjoys sharing her creative vibes with the local community. Nikki has taught painting and drawing classes to beginners and children, and exhibited her work in group -and solo exhibitions.
